Family Services York Region (FSYR) is a not-for-profit mental health agency providing support for individuals, couples and families in York Region through counselling, groups and outreach services. *We are hiring a Couple & Family Therapist to join our team!* The Couple & Family Therapist is responsible for providing psychotherapy services primarily to couples and families, as well as individuals and youth involved with the youth justice system. The Couple & Family Therapist will also have opportunities to support other programs, including groups, brief services, and outreach.
*Qualifications:*
· Minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience working in a clinical setting.
· Masters degree in social work, psychology, counselling or related discipline.
· Registration and good standing with a regulatory college (i.e., CRPO or OCSWSSW).
· Knowledge of various individual, couple and family counselling modalities and evidence informed practices.
· Demonstrated ability to provide competent and culturally safe service in a variety of settings with diverse populations.
· Ability to work remotely from home with internet capacity and in the office, as required.
· Ability to work a flexible schedule, including a minimum of two evenings per week.
· Strong computer skills and capacity to work on virtual platforms and client information systems (such as CaseWorks).
· An energetic and welcoming personality with ability to be versatile, flexible and a team player.
· A satisfactory current Vulnerable Sector Screening.
· Experience with 2SLGBTQ+ communities is an asset.
· Fluency in second language is an asset.
