Corma Industries is a modern contract machine shop in southeast Calgary, Alberta. We offer a customer-focused manufacturing process tailored to meet timelines and product specifications of our clients in diverse industries. We are currently looking for a full time Journeyman or at least a 3rd to 4th year apprentice with a minimum of 3 years CNC experience. Duties include: * Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables; * Planning the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job; * Programming, setting up and operating CNC lathes milling centres and lathes; * Running first-offs and probing; * Monitor output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects; * Documenting and reporting deviations from specifications and tolerances, maintaining inspection records and completing inspection reports; * Experience with FANUC Controls essential; * Knowledge of GIBBS software an asset. Experience: * The candidate will hold a Journeyman Machinist Certificate or be a 3rd or 4th year apprentice; * Possess 3-5 years experience, preferably in a jobbing shop setting; * Expert knowledge of and ability to use quality inspection tools; * Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines is essential; * Ability to think on your feet to troubleshoot; * Experience with Fanuc Controls a must, Solid Works and GIBBS is an asset; * Passion for continuous learning and advancement; * Must be able to communicate at an advanced level in English, both written and verbal.
