Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Noisy. Tasks: Interpret welding process specifications. Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment. Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes. Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications. Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment. Determine weldability of materials. Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products. Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment. Fit and weld parts together. Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up. Ensure adherence to safety regulations. Welding techniques: Gas metal arc welding (GMAW). Brazing and soldering. Gas metal ARC (GMAW) (MIG). Type of cranes: Overhead crane. Equipment and machinery experience: Arc welding machine. Gas welding machine. Soldering machine. Welding. Crimping, brazing and soldering equipment. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Ability to work independently. Personal suitability: Team player. Punctuality.
