Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. Work site environment: Corrections. Work setting: Half-way house. Tasks: Perform administrative tasks. Refer offenders to community and social services programs. Supervise terms of probation orders. Provide suicide and crisis intervention. Resolve conflict situations. Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses. Supervision: 16-20 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate. First Aid Certificate. CPR Certificate. Security and safety: Enhanced reliability security clearance. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Own vehicle. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Attention to detail. Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs). Personal suitability: Accurate. Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Interpersonal awareness. Judgement. Values and ethics. Client focus. Excellent written communication. Flexibility. Initiative. Team player. Organized.
