Install of structural & misc. metals on various locations. (mostly Winnipeg, some out of town work) Must be able to work independently with limited supervision. It is a mix of outside & inside work. Proper clothing is required. Own steel toe boots & welding helmet are needed. We will supply all other safety gear. Must have clean & valid driver's license. Must have current CWB tickets for SMAW, Must have current aerial lift certificate, forklift certificate, and WHMIS. First aid is an asset. *Summary* As an Onsite Welder, you will be integral to our manufacturing and construction projects, utilizing your expertise in welding and blueprint reading to produce high-quality work. Reporting to the project supervisor, you will employ core skills such as MIG and TIG welding, along with premium skills in rigging and mechanical knowledge. Your relevant experience with hand tools, power tools, and forklift operation will ensure efficient and safe execution of tasks. Additionally, possessing certifications in First Aid, WHMIS, and forklift operation will enhance your ability to contribute to a safe and productive work environment. *Responsibilities* * Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine welding requirements. * Utilize hand and power tools to perform welding tasks, ensuring quality and precision. * Operate forklifts safely to transport materials and equipment on-site. * Adhere to safety regulations, including First Aid and WHMIS protocols, while performing welding duties. * Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively. * Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
