<p>The Head Cashier plays an important role supporting the Front End Supervisor in motivating front end associates to follow GET behaviours and provide customers a great shopping experience. </p><p>The Head Cashier coaches, trains and develops Front End and Lot Associates along with maintaining coverage through scheduling and providing first level of escalation for customer issues.</p><p><br></p><p><b>-- Key Responsibilities: </b></p><p><b><br>Ensures Customer Satisfaction</b></p><ul><li><b></b>Lead by example in consistently demonstrating GET behaviours and promoting positive associate morale.</li><li>Ensure sufficient checkouts are available by maintaining lines no longer than one at the register plus two more waiting in line</li><li>Walk front end from the customer experience perspective daily, ensuring Grand Opening readiness, ad execution (per Playbook) and flyer readiness.</li><li>Observe associates and work activity, ensuring appropriate staffing levels to meet business needs </li><li>Provide associates with the training, information, tools, coaching, guidance, encouragement and recognition needed to meet expectations and/or take on higher levels of responsibility Leading the Front End</li><li>Communicate goals, priorities, and directions from store leadership to associates </li><li>Ensure the parking lot is shoppable and free of debris </li><li>Engage back-up cashiers as necessary and assign them to predetermined registers </li><li>Operate cash machines and train cashiers accordingly</li><li>Assist guards for cash collection Maintains Safety, Security and Shrink Mitigation</li><li>Follows all Safety and Loss Prevention policies and procedures.</li><li>Follows processes on the front-end designed to mitigate shrink and protect assets, ensuring front end associates do the same. <br><br></li></ul><p><b>Competencies:</b></p><ul><li>Customer Focus</li><li>Time Management</li><li>Promotes Teamwork</li><li>Problem Solving</li><li>Communicates Effectively </li></ul><p><b><br>Skills:</b></p><ul><li>Interpersonal Skills</li><li>Cash Handling</li><li>Leadership Skills</li><li>Attention to Detail <br><br></li></ul><p><b>Direct Manager/Direct Reports:</b></p><ul><li>Front End Supervisor </li></ul><p><b><br>Travel Requirements:</b></p><ul><li>None <br><br></li></ul><p><b>Physical Requirements:</b></p><ul><li>Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items Hybrid Work:</li><li>Dependent</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Working Conditions:</b></p><ul><li>Working within a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekends.</li><li>Warehouse environment that can be dusty and noisy.</li><li>Doors are frequently open, causing drafts and interior temperature changes. <br><br></li></ul><p><b>Minimum Education:</b></p><ul><li>Highschool Diploma or Equivalent <br><br></li></ul><p><b>Minimum Years of Work Experience:</b></p><ul><li>1 to 2 years Retail or Cash experience an asset </li></ul><p><b><br>Minimum Leadership Experience:</b></p><ul><li>Minimum 1 year leading people </li></ul><p><b><br>Certifications:</b></p><ul><li>NA </li></ul><p><b><br>Other Requirements/Assets:</b></p><ul><li>NA<br></li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p>
