Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Prepare engineering designs and drawings. Read blueprints to determine work requirements . Develop and prepare design sketches. Examine drawings for conformity and errors. Consult with client, engineers or production specialists to establish product requirements. Computer and technology knowledge: Computer-aided design (CAD). AutoCAD. MS Office. MS Windows. Spreadsheet. Area of specialization: Construction. Architecture. Civil engineering. Survey. Drafting. Buildings and structures. Survey specialization: Land survey. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Organized. Team player.
