For more information on our organization, please visit our website: https://www.milani.ca/ *About the Opportunity* We are currently expanding our company and have a new position open for a Full Time Commercial Estimator. You will be working in as part of our commercial team for providing estimates on our commercial projects and providing tecchnical advice to our Commercial technicians. *More specifically, your responsibilities will include:* * Prepare preliminary estimates using proprietary in-house estimating system, conducting on screen take-offs. * Analyze plans, specifications, proposals and other documentation to prepare bid estimates for projects. * Attend site meetings as required. * Build Relationships with subcontractors, suppliers to solicit the best pricing for tenders. * Manage all aspects of the bidding process: procuring new projects to bid, quantity take-offs, soliciting pricing, estimate labour and equipment costs, bid proposals, order and manage bid bonds. * Review other estimates prepared by other team members prior to submittal. * Implement strategy on each bid, think strategically. * Maintain database of subcontractors, suppliers, historical project cost data and historical bid results. * · Interact effectively with other parts of the company. *Requirements:* * Minimum 2 years? experience as a Plumbing or HVAC Estimator in the construction industry * Must be well organized, accurate, flexible, and diligent * Able to travel as required to attend site bid meetings * Trades/?Hands On? Field experience in Plumbing and/or HVAC * Red Seal Certification * Gas A / B Certification , or equvalent *About the Benefits* In return for your hard work and dedication, you will be awarded a competitive base salary and commission structure, which will be negotiated at time of hire. The average estimator brings in $150,000-$200,000 annually.
