Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: All weather conditions. Work setting: Hotel, motel, resort. Tasks: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs. Perform minor repairs on appliances. Perform safety and security checks. Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair. Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens. Work with minimal supervision. Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Equipment: Industrial vacuum cleaners/power sweepers. Power tools. Power lawn mowers. Small tractors (lawn/snow removal attachments). Swimming pool maintenance and cleaning equipment. Snowblower. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Weight handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Dependability. Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Flexibility.
