Basic Function: The Senior Systems/Network Administrator has a pivotal role responsible for the comprehensive management, optimization, and security of both system and network infrastructures within Norfolk County's IT (Information Technology) department. This role combines strategic planning, deployment, and operational management to ensure elevated levels of availability, performance, and security of all IT systems and networks. The position also involves mentoring junior team members, coordinating with various IT functions, and ensuring compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Position Description: Participate in capacity planning and developing long-term strategic goals for systems and network infrastructure with end-users and department managers.
