*Job Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Executive Housekeeper at the 200 room Radisson Hotel Vancouver Airport to lead our housekeeping team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization within our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hotel or hospitality management, with expertise in custodial services and industrial cleaning. This role is essential in ensuring that our guests enjoy a pristine environment during their stay, reflecting our commitment to quality and service.
*Responsibilities*
* Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring all areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
* Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures for staff to follow.
* Train, supervise, and evaluate housekeeping staff, fostering a positive work environment.
* Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
* Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels.
* Collaborate with other departments to coordinate cleaning schedules around events or peak occupancy periods.
* Address guest inquiries or complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the housekeeping department.
*Experience*
* Previous experience as an Executive Housekeeper in a full service hotel is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of custodial practices, including industrial cleaning techniques and equipment usage.
* Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Proven leadership abilities with experience in training and developing staff members.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members and guests.
* Experience in a unionized environment an asset.
