The Team Global Banking and Markets Engineering (GBME) is the fast-moving, award-winning technology engine that powers Scotiabank's Corporate, Investment Banking, and Capital Markets businesses. The Role GBME is searching for Business Solutions Expert to liaison between business stakeholders and internal engineering and architect teams, ensuring solutions are developed and delivered on time, efficiently and with high quality for various projects within GBME. The successful candidate will have a results-oriented and curious mindset with strong technical skills. You will work closely with cross functional teams, including engineers, solutions architects, and business teams to develop and implement market leading solutions that are scalable and deliver excellence, and value to our business partners and customers. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF INITIAL PROJECT: Scotiabank is working on one of the major re-platforming projects DPM. Project goal is to move trading capabilities from existing Legacy application to the new application. KEY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR PROJECT: Experience in capturing business requirements for building a Derivate Products Trading Application covering Trade Capture, Integration with Pricing Models. Familiar with Trade Life Cycle for derivative products events such as Amend, Unwind, Rate Reset or Fixing Process and Realized Cashflows. Advanced Knowledge of derivative financial instruments such as Interest Rate Swap, Equity Total Swaps, Equity Options, Equities and Bonds. String knowledge in market data used to price derivative instruments. Familiar with end-to-end trade workflows among the Front, Middle and Back Offices systems. Knowledge of structured products such as Auto Callable Note is an asset. As part of the role, you'll Demonstrate an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities. Ensure business specifications/requirements documentation is accurately prepared and comprehensive to support sizing/development efforts and as input to various project documentation. Develop and deliver Business Requirements Documents, Design Documents, Use Cases, and Process Models as required. Participate in the development of detailed project plans, the monitoring of progress against planned objectives, the financial review, and securing consensus and co-operation from users and senior management. Work closely across GBME technology teams during all stages of the system development life cycle and bridge the gap between business and technology sides of the solution. Liaising between the business community and the IT organization to provide technical solutions that meet user needs. Build relationships and communicate effectively with colleagues in Global regions. Support production issues and handle escalations during Release cycles as needed. Perform ad hoc work as needed. Minimum Qualifications 5+ years practical experience and product business knowledge in capital markets. Must have Experience in capturing business requirements for building a Derivate Products Trading Application covering Trade Capture, Integration with Pricing Models. Familiar with Trade Life Cycle for derivative products events such as Amend, Unwind, Rate Reset or Fixing Process and Realized Cashflows. Advanced Knowledge of derivative financial instruments such as Interest Rate Swap, Equity Total Swaps, Equity Options, Equities and Bonds. Strong knowledge in market data used to price derivative instruments. Familiar with end-to-end trade workflows among the Front, Middle and Back Offices systems. Minimum 3 years' working knowledge of databases such as SQL Server, with ability to create and run queries independently. Experience working with all phases of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle). Proficient with SQL queries, PL/SQL, and SQL Loader - or equivalent A- LocationToronto, ON
