*Rosenau Transport Ltd is HIRING! Looking for an Journeyman HET or trailer Mechanic to join our new facility in Calgary, AB. Rosenau Transport is now part of GLS Canada! Join us as we embark on this exciting journey together! * *Are you looking to work state of the art, new mechanic shop?* *Shift available:* * *Evening: 3:30pm - 12:00am (Midnight)* *Are you able to carry out the following responsibilities?* * Repair and maintenance to minimize downtime and maximum utilization of all company vehicles at the lowest possible cost. * Current knowledge of maintenance related practices, trends and safety changes that affect maintenance activities. * Ensure all repair work is done to thoroughly to manufacturers specifications. * Keep work area clean. * Ensure safe work practices are observed. * Maintain tools to ensure efficient and safe operation. * Communicate with coworkers to provide or request assistance when needed. * Observe all company rules, policies and procedures with regards to quality control, Occupational Health and Safety, etc. * Perform sundry duties as assigned by the Shop Manager *We offer:* * *Benefit & Employee Assistant Plan* * *RSP Plan* * *Boot Allowance* * *Staff Lunchroom* \*Only licensed mechanics or registered apprentice candidates with trailer experience will be considered for this role. *This is a safety sensitive position requiring mandatory pre-employment Criminal record check and testing for our company Drug & Alcohol Policy.* _*Applicants with an Active Temporary Work Permit are eligible to apply and must present their passport and Social Insurance Number information during the interview process.*_ _*Preference for local candidates only. Each employee is responsible for their personal safety* *#RoseIND* Qualifications - Mechanical knowledge - Automotive repair experience - Ability to use hand and power tools - Proficiency in heavy lifting - Basic electrical experience - Strong maintenance skills - Previous mechanic experience - Familiarity with reading schematics - Customer service skills - Experience with heavy equipment operation Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $34.00-$42.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Paid time off Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Evening shift Ability to commute/relocate: * Calgary, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Experience: * Mechanical: 1 year (required) Licence/Certification: * Class 5 Licence (required) * Clean Criminal record (required) * CVIP License (preferred) * Journeyman Ticket (preferred) Location: * Calgary, AB (required) Work Location: In person- LocationCalgary, AB
