The successful applicant must have 2 years of experience, have a strong mechanical ability and have skill in the use of basic hand and electric tools. The individual must be able to work in various conditions. The position is also required to lift heavy materials up to 40 pounds, climb, crawl, kneel and stoop. Areas of specialization that include: Assembling machinery and equipment, installing machinery and equipment, adjusting machinery and equipment, Troubleshooting, Operation of computer-controlled equipment, Leveling and aligning. *Experience* * 1 years of experience working in a HVAC/engineering position * Experience working in a hotel environment is an asset- not a requirement *Skills* * Strong mechanical ability * Significant experience in plumbing and electrical * Superb organizational skills * Ability to multi-task and attention to detail * Gas Filter Certificate is an asset *Requirements* * Must be available to work a variety of shifts * Must be able to complete a police backcheck to the hotel's satisfaction *Physical Demands* * Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time *This job posting is not exclusive or exhaustive list of all job functions that a Mechanic 2 will be asked to perform from time to time.
