Townsview Estates is a 51-bed residential care facility located in Truro, NS. Licensed by the Nova Scotia Department of Seniors and Long-Term Care, our dedicated, long-standing staff provide compassionate care with dignity to our residents. We are seeking a Casual Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and orderly environment for our residents. Candidate must be available for call ins and weekend shifts. Shifts will be both scheduled and call ins to replace permanent. Experience working with seniors is considered an asset. *Responsibilities include but not limited to:* - Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming - Follow best practice cleaning procedures - Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, offices and common areas of building - Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards - Clean and disinfect high touch surfaces throughout the building - To notify management of any damages or repairs needed - Restock supplies in housekeeping stock room - Laundry services - To accept extra assigned duties outside your daily duties as required ie. resident internal moves, spring cleaning - Follow public health measures when implemented *Qualifications/Experience* - High school education - Ability to work independently or part of a team - Good physical condition with the ability to lift and move objects - Clean criminal and vulnerable sector check required - Ability to maintain confidentiality - A commitment to providing high-quality service and maintaining cleanliness standards - Adhere to Public Health measures when implemented Job Type: Casual Pay: From $17.60 per hour Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Weekends as needed Work Location: In person- LocationTruro, NS
