Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Work site environment: At heights. Noisy. Outdoors. All weather conditions. Dusty. Heavy equipment. Work setting: Urban area. Rural area. Various locations. Residential. Forestry and logging. Equipment operation. Construction. Tasks: Interpret blueprints or other instructions to plan methods or sequences of operation. Trim trees to achieve the desired pruning objective such as crown cleaning, thinning, raising, reduction, restoration, espalier pruning, vista pruning. Apply various treatments such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas and injecting with treatment solutions. Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and disease. Plant and move trees. Tree removal. Operate heavy equipment. Maintain equipment. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) certification. Type of heavy equipment operated: Backhoe excavator, loader. Bobcats. Equipment and machinery experience: Grinder. Chippers. Chipping machine. Chain saw. Skidsteer. Additional sector experience: Forestry. Area of work experience: Stumping. Area of specialization: Tree service. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Attention to detail. Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Flexibility.
