Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Fruit and vegetable processing plant. Tasks: Advise supervisors of ingredient or product deficiencies. Take samples of products at various stages of processing. Examine ingredients or finished products to ensure conformance to company standards. Conduct routine tests for product specifications. Grade and label raw materials or finished products. Ensure hygiene and sanitation practices conform to policies and regulations. Assist in developing programs of sampling and analysis to maintain quality standards . Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). MS Office. Analytical techniques: Sampling. Technical or specialized writing: Analysis. Industrial processes and products experience: Quality assurance and control. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Fast-paced environment. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills.
