Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Courier company. Tasks: Recommend measures to improve work methods. Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Supervise workers and projects. Train or arrange for training. Co-ordinate and schedule activities. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Address customers' complaints or concerns. Oversee the selection, operation and maintenance of vehicles and equipment. Maintain accurate records. Conduct training sessions. Co-ordinate maintenance and repair services. Authorize delivery routes. Prepare reports. Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages. Sort packages for delivery. Ensure transport compliance with regulations. Supervision: 5-10 people. Delivery drivers. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles). Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel. MS Office. MS Word. Transportation/travel experience: Local. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Fast-paced environment. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Tight deadlines. Overtime required. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Up to 9 kg (20 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Cellular phone. Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication. Flexibility. Organized. Team player. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
