Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Willing to relocate. Tasks: Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions. Address customers' complaints or concerns. Load and unload goods. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Pay and receive payments for goods. Perform brake adjustments. Perform emergency roadside repairs. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Air Brakes Endorsement. Driver's License (Class 3 or D). Documentation knowledge: Driver logbook. Maintenance and repair reports. Type of trucking and equipment: Tow truck. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Handling heavy loads. Overtime required. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Judgement. Organized. Reliability. Team player. Hardworking. Patience.
