<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p><p>After more than 10 years of remarkable success in real estate development, our company continues to expand our portfolio. We are seeking a driven accounting professional to join our dynamic finance team as an Intermediate Accountant.</p><p>Reporting to the Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in the key entities' full cycle accounting and ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting records. Also, you are expected to provide exceptional professional services by managing self by responding with a sense of urgency, can-do attitude, and accountability.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p> </p><p>1. Full-Cycle Accounting & Cashflow Management: support full-cycle accounting for various project entities, including processing accounts payable, assist in accounting operations of assigned entities, period end reconciliations, and financial statements.</p><p>2. Accounts Payable: process invoices and ensure the accuracy of coding, allocation, and approvals. Prepare and process cheque requisitions.</p><p>3. Reporting: Prepare and support preparation of monthly financial reporting, including balance sheets, income statements and GST reasonability calculations. Prepare journal entries and monthly bank, inter-company reconciliations.</p><p>4. Perform additional <span class="long-word">projects/assignments</span> as needed.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Post-secondary education in bookkeeping or accounting.</li><li>Interest in obtaining or working towards a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.</li><li>Minimum 1 year's experience in a similar accounting position from full-time or interim work</li><li>Experience in Quick Books is preferred; knowledge of Spectrum or other EPR system is a plus.</li><li>Exceptional attention to details, problem solving and organizational skills.</li><li>Experience in preparation of corporate tax returns is an asset.</li><li>Excellent communication skills and people skills.</li><li>Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office; most notably in Excel.</li><li> Team orientation and personable, positive approach.</li></ul><p><strong>What We Offer</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive salaries and compensations.</li><li>Professional, respectful, and transparent work environment.</li><li>Career growth by continuous mentorship and coaching.</li></ul></div></div>
