Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Corn farming. Other grain farming. Wheat farming. Dusty. Outdoors. Potato and vegetable. Sugar beets. Work setting: Rural area. Staff accommodation available. Willing to relocate. Tasks: Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Maintain quality control and production records. Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Perform general farm duties. Supervision: 3-4 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Pesticide Applicator's Licence. Equipment and machinery experience: Automated irrigation system. Fertilizer applicator. Tractor. Forklift. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Overtime required. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Organized. Team player. Screening questions: Are you available for shift or on-call work?.
