*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our Periodontal Specialty Practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth workflow within the office and maintaining a welcoming environment for our patients.
*Duties*
* Greet patients warmly as they arrive and assist them with check-in procedures.
* Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments efficiently using dental software Abeldent Local +
* Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries and providing information about services offered.
* Maintain accurate patient records in electronic medical records systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
* Process patient payments and handle billing inquiries with professionalism.
* Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care and treatment plans.
* Keep the front desk area organized and stocked with necessary supplies.
* Assist in managing insurance claims and verifying patient insurance coverage when necessary.
*Requirements*
* Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar role within a dental or medical office is preferred.
* Proficiency in using dental office software such as Abeldent, or other electronic medical records systems is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry is an asset.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
* Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
* Experience with phone systems and customer service best practices is essential.
