People like you!If you enjoy working with professional artists and programming staff in different artistic disciplines, adept at time management and office systems, great at communications and organizing schedules, this Fine Arts Leader position as the Artist in Residence Liaison may be for you! This is an operational and administrative position at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts, primarily supporting and coordinating the Deer Lake Artist in Residence program that has both studio and live-in spaces. As a detail-oriented person, you will schedule meetings, gather information and prepare various documents and reports. You will schedule and book facilities for approved artists using Active Net or similar software and create/maintain reports and documents using MS Office software. You will communicate with external and internal contacts, update social media channels, and answer inquiries about the program. You will research best practices for program growth, assist with program evaluation and support artists and staff to plan community development activities and perform other related duties as required.To qualify, you will need to have completed a two-year Community College program in arts administration or Fine Arts specialty including courses in writing or art history, and some related program planning and social media experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. You?ll be required to have thorough knowledge of written and spoken English with the ability to type and edit non-routine correspondence and reports. You should know modern office practices and procedures, especially strong with spreadsheets, PowerPoint and MS Office programs. You?ll need to work independently with sound judgment and as part of a team and maintain harmonious working relationships with various contacts. A driver?s license for the Province of British Columbia is required. Please note that a Police Information Check may be required for this position.
