Compliance Specialist This role is for our clients in the mining and metals industry, supporting their Ethics and Compliance (E&C) team in managing and implementing the Ethics and Compliance Program across Canada and the broader Americas (AMA) region. Reporting to the Compliance Lead for the Americas, you will be responsible for guiding the business on E&C Standards and Procedures, ensuring that all operations meet legal and regulatory obligations. What is in it for you: ? Hourly salary of $45 to $55, based on experience. ? 9-month contract. ? Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week. ? Hybrid work: 3 days per week at the office. ? Lead the implementation of the E&C Business Integrity and Compliance Programme, ensuring adherence to E&C Standards and Procedures ? Provide expert support on compliance-related issues, ensuring that employees and third parties conduct business ethically and in accordance with regulations ? Apply technical expertise to resolve complex issues and recommend compliance solutions ? Facilitate risk discussions to identify and mitigate compliance risks, establishing action plans as necessary ? Deliver targeted training (in-classroom or virtual) to promote understanding of compliance risks and mitigation strategies ? Conduct monitoring activities to ensure the effectiveness of the Compliance Programme ? Support Risk, Assurance, and Compliance Forums with insights and analysis of compliance data and risks ? Perform deep-dive reviews on-site as per the compliance plan ? Assist the regional Data Privacy Lead in handling data privacy incidents and promoting compliance ? Engage with stakeholders and manage compliance contacts within various business units ? Collaborate with the E&C Compliance, Data Privacy, Investigations, and Operations teams to achieve program goals What you will need to succeed: ? A degree (or equivalent professional qualification) in Finance, Compliance, Auditing, and/or Risk. ? 5-7 years of experience in compliance, audit, risk, or governance, working with multiple stakeholders across regions and time zones. ? Professional accreditation in compliance, risk management, and/or auditing. ? Strong knowledge of compliance practices, anti-bribery and anti-corruption legislation, and GDPR. ? Strong project management, analytical, and organizational skills. ? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience interacting with senior management across jurisdictions. ? Ability to manage confidential matters discreetly and work independently with minimal guidance. ? Bilingualism in English and French required to effectively engage stakeholders and manage compliance contacts within various business units. Why Recruit Action?
