Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Assign engineering projects to engineers or other technical workers
  • Coordinate work activities to ensure projects meet deadlines and budgets
  • Review engineering projects to approve or recommend changes
  • Hire, train, direct and motivate staff
  • Evaluate technical designs and engineering work
  • Oversee the analysis of data and information
  • Oversee the preparation of reports
  • Advise senior management
  • Manage contracts
  • Develop risk management plans
  • Conduct performance reviews
  • Prepare cost estimates
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
  • Estimate cost of projects
