The teaching assignment will include grade 8-9 English Language Arts (ELA) and additional duties as assigned by the principal.<p>Specific position details: <p><p> Start Date: December 9, 2024<p> End Date: June 27, 2025<p> Location: J.R. Robson School, Vermilion, Alberta<p> Subject Areas: Grade 8-9 English Language Arts (ELA), experience teaching secondary ELA an asset, regardless of specialization, all are encouraged to apply.<p><p> The successful candidate will possess the following: <p> <p><p> A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate<p> Shall be a dynamic student-centered educator committed to maximizing learning in a safe and caring environment<p> Experience and/or training in the application of Assessment for Learning strategies, embedded formative assessment, and varied summative assessments is essential<p> Possess a strong background in the use of technology to enhance student learning<p> Ability to create a positive learning environment and foster positive professional relationships with students<p> Is dependable with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate in a team setting<p> Demonstrates a strong commitment to professional growth and continually increasing their effectiveness as an educator<p> A willingness to participate in extracurricular activities would be considered an asset<p><p>Students come first at J.R.
