*Overview*
*The KNC has an opening for a full time HR Administrative Assistant! This is a permanent, on-site position. *
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the HR Admin Assistant contributes to the accomplishment and support of HR objectives across the organization. This position provides administrative support for the HR department, working in collaboration with the HR Manager, HR Technician, finance department, sector directors, managers, supervisors and employees with a focus on recruitment support, program administration, records management and capacity building initiatives. The successful candidate will have exceptional organization skills, be a creative self-starter, and must thrive in collaborative team environments with a focus on high quality employee support. This position impacts the entire Ktunaxa community by contributing to overall organizational effectiveness with a focus on holding in care the opportunities for employment for Ktunaxa citizens and Aboriginal peoples.

* Ensuring consistency and quality of administration
* Providing policy and procedure clarification and support
* Facilitating and supporting transparent recruitment and selection processes
* Functioning with ethics, integrity and consistency of policy interpretation and application
* Maintaining human resources files, always with utmost care for personal privacy and confidentiality and meeting all legislated requirements
* Clear, open and consistent communication internally and externally representing the organization professionally and ethically.

*Academic Requirements:*
· Post secondary certificate or diploma with focus on administrative assistant, business administration, human resources, or related field
*Required skills, knowledge, and experience*
· 2-3 years in an administrative role; general understanding and experience in recruitment and selection, policy, compensation, benefits, performance management
· Working knowledge of applicable labour standards
· Records management
· Integrity, ethics, ability to consistently maintain a high level of confidentiality
· Communication: reading, writing, oral, presentations, strong vocabulary, listening, interpretation
· Interpersonal: listening, observation, non-judgment, understanding, caring, compassion, resilience.
· Adaptability and flexibility: resourceful to seek creative solutions
· Problem solving skills coupled with analytical abilities that enable consideration of details and complexities of issues while achieving results
· First Nations and Indigenous cultural awareness and sensitivity
· Customer service excellence: genuinely warm presence, friendly, sincere, drive for service excellence, gracious
· Organizational skills: strong office administration skills, strong organizational and multi-tasking skills and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously; prioritize work and projects; recognizing the need for doing thorough and complete work, at the same time addressing the shifting focus and demands
· Detail-oriented: care and attention to detail
· Emotional maturity: interacts with others in a respectful manner with demonstrated qualities of sincerity, helpfulness, courtesy, and humility

Pay: $53,000.00-$61,000.00 per year
