Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Hot. Noisy. Odours. Outdoors. Wet/damp. Work setting: Municipal government. Rural area. Various locations. Relocation costs not covered by employer. Tasks: Clean and maintain sidewalks, streets, roads and public grounds. Spread sand or salt on sidewalks for snow or ice control. Assist in routine maintenance and repair of equipment. Sweep debris and remove snow from streets, sidewalks, building grounds and other areas, and load snow and debris into carts or trucks. Equipment and machinery experience: Mobile sidewalk cleaners. Power mowers. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Overtime required. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Dependability. Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Flexibility.
