As we expand our operations in British Columbia, we are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team specializing in Business Development.
Position Overview:
As a Home Comfort Advisor - Business Development, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding our client base within the new build construction sector. You will be responsible for establishing and nurturing relationships with building developers, contractors, and stakeholders to secure new build projects for HVAC and insulation solutions. Your primary objective will be to identify opportunities, cultivate partnerships, and deliver tailored proposals to meet the unique needs of each client.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and prospect potential building developers, contractors, and stakeholders within the new build construction segment
* Develop and execute strategic plans to acquire new business opportunities and secure projects for appliances, HVAC and insulation solutions
* Build and maintain a robust pipeline of leads through market research, networking, and targeted outreach efforts
* Collaborate with internal teams to assess project requirements, develop comprehensive proposals, and deliver compelling presentations to prospective clients
* Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders involved in the new build construction process
* Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering expert guidance on appliances, HVAC and insulation solutions that align with their project specifications and sustainability objective
* Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the sales cycle, addressing inquiries, resolving concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction
* Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to identify emerging opportunities and potential challenges
* Monitor sales performance metrics, track progress against targets, and prepare regular reports to assess the effectiveness of business development strategies
* Utilize our custom CRM software and other tools to maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and project status updates
Qualifications:
Because of the nature of this work, a successful candidate must have a strong understanding of the building process, materials, codes, and industry standards of practice. Being able to answer questions from potential clients and speak the language of the industry will enable you to gain trust with our clients.
Other qualifications include:
* Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or account management roles within the construction industry, preferably with appliance, HVAC or insulation products/services
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts and build rapport with diverse audiences
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software, and other business development tools
* Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field preferred
