<p> <p>Job Posting: Posting Detail <p>Posting: T24/25-210<p>Description: Hearing Resource Teacher, Grades K-12<p><p><p>Start Date: 24-October-2024<p>End Date: 27-June-2025<p> <p>Date of Notice: 16-October-2024<p>Closing Date: 23-October-2024 12:00 PM, MST <p><p><p>Hearing Resource Teacher, Grades K-12 <p>Temporary - 0.60 FTE <p>District position <p>Salary: The starting annual salary for this part-time teaching position ranges from $$38,014 to $67,081, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.<p> <p>Benefits: We offer a competitive benefits package and pension.<p> <p>Terms and conditions pursuant to the Collective Agreement between the Cranbrook and Fernie Teachers' Association and School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay).<p>-Preference will be given to applicants with BC Teacher Certification. <p>-Must have a degree/formal training and/or teaching experience in subjects and at a level specific to each posting.<p><p><p>Hearing Resource Teacher - Grades K-12<p><p> (POSTING NUMBER T2425-210 - Round 1)<p><p>0.60 FTE temporary contract, starting October 24, 2024 or upon completion of the posting process to June 27, 2025.<p><p>Must have a Master's Degree recognized by the BC Teacher Regulation Branch involving major study in deafness and hearing loss. Must be eligible for certification as aTeacher of the Deaf by the Canadian Association of Educators of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CAEDHH). It would be considered an asset to have proficiency in AmericanSign Language (ASL). Must possess strong oral and written communication skills.<p><p>If the ideal qualifications cannot be found, we will consider applicants with the following:<p>-a degree/diploma or certification in Student Services/Special Education, with a strong ability to liaison with agencies.<p>-a background in Nursing/Healthcare.<p><p>This is a District position, and will support all of the communities within School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay). It is scheduled for Mondays through Fridays.
