Steele Auto Group has an immediate requirement for a Payroll Administrator to join our Head Office team in Dartmouth, NS! This opportunity offers a hybrid work model within the HRM.The Payroll Administrator plays a pivotal role within our organization and is responsible for full-cycle payroll processing, payroll compliance, and employee recordkeeping. This position demands meticulous attention to detail, a strong grasp of payroll regulations, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.Wage commensurate with skills and experience.Responsibilities include but not limited to:Manage payroll processing schedule and ensure deadlines are metRun payroll processing activities and execute interfacesReconcile payroll results and perform audit checksFollow proper procedures for payroll sign off/approval.Run monthly/quarterly reportsConduct quarterly balancing of year end totals, including researching and resolving PIERConduct year end balancing and filingsUpdate processing documentation as neededAct as day-to-day liaison with dealership designated contacts for payroll-related processing.Timely review and resolution of issuesHighlight and escalate relevant matters that may impact running the payrollsProcess relevant tax forms for employeesParticipate in testing and validation as required for product updates, configuration changesMaintain up to date knowledge and expertise in statutory legislation, and systemsProcess Journal entries and forms such as ROE, tax forms, remittances.Assist in the administration of employee programs (ie.
