*Strategic Account Manager*
As our Strategic Account Manager, you will be playing a vital role in achieving our exponential growth goals and driving forward the mission to Kick Sugar and Keep Candy. In this role, you will lead SmartSweets? partnerships with Sobeys and various regional retailers, all of whom are highly valued partners. This role reports to the Sr. Director, Sales Planning and Business Development and will either be hybrid in Vancouver, BC (in-office minimum 2 days per week) or remote in Toronto, ON.

*How You Will Support Our Mission (Responsibilities): *
* Lead all account management initiatives for SmartSweets at Sobeys, various Regional retailers and distributors, and alternate channels customers
* Develop support plans and strategies that drive growth and are aligned with retailers? & SmartSweets goals
* Demonstrate a deep sense of accountability and drive towards results
* Effectively manage customer budgets and promotional plans, consistently, analysing ROI and optimizing plans accordingly
* Leverage customer sell-through data to support a fact-based selling approach; focus on understanding key volume drivers and their ROIs
* Work with cross-functional partners to meet account performance objectives and customers? expectations
* Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis, actioning with a sense of urgency
* Complete all annual & monthly forecasting and trade investment reviews with a clear understanding of drivers and an ability to articulate these drivers to management. Clearly build & articulate action plans that will allow you to achieve your revenue/trade investment targets
*What You Bring (Qualifications & Experience): *
* 5+ years of key account management in the Canadian CPG industry
* Experience managing accounts such as Sobeys, Whole Foods, Metro, Rexall, Healthy Planet, etc. is required
* Experience working with Canadian Distributors & Brokers is required
* Experience with Nielsen and/or IRI data is required
* Experience in the Natural Health Food Industry is an asset
* Experience using trade planning management software is preferred
* Experience with formal Joint Business Planning (JBP) partnerships an asset
* A self-motivated, highly organized, and achievement-oriented attitude and an ability to lead with autonomy
* An ability to quickly assess the needs of the business, develop an action plan and execute
* Exceptional communication and storytelling skills with an ability to match the message to the medium and get results
* A customer-focused, proactive, and team-oriented approach
* An inquisitive personality and a desire to dive deep into issues to uncover the ?why?
* Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace

* Ability to travel within North America on a quarterly basis if needed
*Compensation and Sweet Perks (Benefits): *
The approximate base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $110,000. The actual base salary will be based on various factors, including the candidate?s level of skills, experience and education aligned with the needs of the role, budget and market. This position is eligible for participation in a bonus program based on performance and company results. Please note, individuals must be employed by 09/30/24 to be eligible for 2024 bonus.
