We?re looking for a proactive individual to support our Enterprise Risk Management division as a permanent, full-time Claims and Insurance Administrator! In this dynamic role, you?ll manage new claim workflows, maintain accurate data in our claims management system, and respond to customer inquiries with confidence. This position will also collaborate with a diverse team of professionals, including loss adjusters and insurers, while helping to develop and enhance our ERM (Enterprise Risk Management) program. The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:Completion of a post-secondary certificate in Local Government Administration, Business/Office Administration; OR Completion of a diploma in commerce, public administration, or a related discipline. Completion of a minimum of two courses in: the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) program and/or the Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) program; OR Enrolled in the CIP program with two (2) years? work experience in claims or insurance. A minimum of two (2) years? experience in an office environment, where dealing with the public was a significant part of the job. Proficient in advanced Word and advanced Excel as demonstrated through testing (70% pass rate required). For new hires, and for those working in designated positions of trust, including those working directly with vulnerable persons, no formal offer of employment will be made until an applicant completes a police information check. A comprehensive benefits package is included with this position.
