Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Dusty. Work setting: Construction. Various locations. Renovation. Commercial. Millwork/pre-fab shopwork. Residential. Tasks: Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Large workload. Overtime required. Physically demanding. Tight deadlines. Work with minimal supervision. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Accurate. Client focus. Reliability. Team player. Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years.
