Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems. Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems. Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications. Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs . Perform scheduled maintenance service. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification. Truck and Transport Mechanic Red Seal Endorsement. Area of specialization: Brake system. Engine repair and overhaul. Truck-trailer repair. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Attention to detail. Manual dexterity.
