Join our dynamic team at Lock Block Ltd., the leader of high-quality concrete blocks serving the construction industry.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to oversee financial activities at our concrete block facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting. As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and providing strategic insights to support decision-making processes.
This is NOT a hybrid role. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week in our location: 13171 Mitchell Rd in Richmond.
Responsibilities:
* Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. (We have AP/AR designated induvituals)
* Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts to provide insights into business performance.
* Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
* Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support financial planning and decision-making.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve financial performance.
* Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
* Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as assigned by management.
Requirements:
* Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* CPA designation preferred.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in the manufacturing or construction industry.
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online) and Microsoft Excel.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
