<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p> </p><p><strong>Job Description:</strong></p><p>This position is responsible for the production of parts on CNC milling machines.</p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><p>Minimum:</p><p>1. <strong>Two years experience operating a CNC vertical milling machines.</strong> Experience may include post secondary vocational-technical training.</p><p>2. Ability to interpret complex mechanical drawings to set-up and operate CNC milling machine</p><p>3. Basic understanding <strong>of CNC programming and GD&T.</strong></p><p>4. Proficiency in the use of measuring instruments including the following:</p><p>a. Micrometer</p><p>b. Vernier caliper</p><p>c. Height Gage, Depth Gages, Pin Gage, Gage Blocks, and Thread Gages</p><p>5. Verification and inspection of dimensions of machined parts within tolerances of +/- 0.002 "</p><p>6. Good manual dexterity and an above average attention to detail. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting.</p><p>7. Ability to work independently and resolve problems in order to 1) maintain a safe work environment, 2) meet quality requirements, and 3) meet production schedules.</p><p>Preferred:</p><p><strong>1. </strong><strong>Experience with Matsuura Vertical Milling Machines ( MC -550VX and MC -550 VG ) is preferable </strong></p><p>2. Experience with Mastercam, MS Office products and MS Windows Operating System is an asset</p><p><strong>3. </strong><strong>Understanding of Fanuc</strong><strong> operating controls</strong></p><p>4. Machining of small complex aluminum parts; housings, brackets, lids, jigs, etc.</p><p>5. Safety training and certification</p><p> </p><p><strong>Duties:</strong></p><ul><li>Comply with safety practices, including the use of personal protective equipment</li><li>Housekeeping - Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area</li><li><strong>Accurately </strong><strong>interpret and read engineering </strong><strong>drawings</strong></li><li><strong>Set up, load, run, and unload CNC Milling machines</strong></li><li>Compute dimensions and tolerances and lay out work pieces</li><li>Prepare clamps and fixtures for setups based on required specifications</li><li>Work independently to produce aluminum housings, jigs, lids, carriers, brackets and barriers.</li><li>Resolve problems and issues that arise</li><li><strong>Perform material handling duties associated with the job</strong></li><li>Perform first off inspection; Ensure part is within tolerances and dimensions provided on Inspection sheet and drawing</li><li>Complete process and production records</li><li>Work with others to eliminate repeated rejections and improve quality</li></ul><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong>Education:</strong> High School minimum.
