Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Restaurant. Tasks: Prepare and serve specialty food at customers' tables. Describe menu items including daily specials for customers. Advise on menu selections. Balance cash and record sales. Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs. Order and maintain inventory of wines and wine glassware. Serve food and beverages. Take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff. Assist clients/guests with special needs. Provide customer service. Supervision: 5-10 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Food Safety Certificate. Safe Food Handling certificate. Screening questions: Are you available for shift or on-call work?. Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Are you willing to relocate for this position?. Experience: Experience an asset. Support for youths: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment. Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth.
