Paterson Group?s client base includes major developers, building owners, property management firms, condominium properties, and many other public and private housing and commercial building groups.
The Ottawa office has an immediate opening for a full-time Invoicing Manager. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Invoicing Manager is an integral role in ensuring invoicing accuracy. This position works as a liaison between the Invoicing department, other internal departments, management, and customers. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, detail oriented, honest, hardworking individual, with the ability to multi-task. The candidate should also be a great team player who thrives on continuous improvement and embraces change in their everyday approach with their work and others in delivering on our Invoicing mandate.
*The ideal candidate for this dynamic and challenging role should be capable of the following:*
· Supervise the day-to-day functions of the Invoicing team;
· Coach, mentor and manage performance of direct reports (4+ team members);
· Ensure invoicing to customers is performed timely and accurately;
· Investigate and resolve invoicing queries/disputes and communicate issues or roadblocks that need resolution with the clients;
· Partner with the Collections Team to identify invoicing issues and resolutions;
· Ensure high level of client service across the team;
· Coordinate between internal departments to ensure accurate information flow and purchase order invoicing;
· Complete billing adjustments;
· Assist in preparing billing reports and reconciliations;
· Assist with month end responsibilities;
· Participate in updating invoicing policies and procedures;
· Communicate changes to team members and provide training where necessary;
· Assist in special projects as needed;
· Provide general administrative and project management support;
· Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
*Qualifications*
· University / College education in relevant discipline (Finance & Accounting considered to be an asset);
· Experience working in a similar role within a consulting firm;
· 5+ years of high-volume invoicing, accounts receivable or accounting experience;
· 2+ years of experience leading a team;
· Good working knowledge of accounting principles;
· Demonstrated ability to embrace change and willing to learn to ensure best billing practices;
· Self-starter disposition with strong organizational and communication skills;
· Strong working knowledge of billing systems and Microsoft products;
· Good customer service experience;
· Detail and results-oriented, with an ability to work under pressure to meet tight timelines;
· Strong oral and written communication skills to present information logically and concisely;
· Very strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail;
· Strong communication skills, both oral and written;
· Ability to stay productive under minimal supervision;
· Ability to work accurately under pressure.
