*Job Overview* We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Law Clerk to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will support lawyers by conducting legal research, drafting documents, and assisting with case preparation. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. *Responsibilities* * Conduct legal research and liaison with court services staff. * Draft legal documents, including briefs, memos, and pleadings. * Assist lawyers in preparing for trials and hearings by organizing case files and evidence. * Perform clerical duties such as data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate records. * Conduct client interviews to gather relevant information for cases. * Maintain effective communication with clients and other stakeholders, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. * Utilize Daylite or similar document management systems to organize and manage case files. * Collaborate with team members to ensure all deadlines are met and tasks are completed efficiently. *Requirements* * Strong research skills with proficiency in legal research databases. * Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple cases simultaneously. * Proficient in administrative tasks including data entry and clerical work. * Effective written communication skills for drafting legal documents. * Ability to conduct interviews with clients professionally and empathetically. * Familiarity with document management systems is a plus. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality. * Previous experience in a legal setting is preferred but not mandatory.
