*Job Summary*
We are looking to hire a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) that will provide quality care and support for the center's programs, tailored to individual needs of the children, and meets all regulatory standards required by our policies, the Ministry of Education and other governing bodies such as the Brant County Health Unit, Fire Department, etc.
*Responsibilities*
* Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the center's curriculum.
* Provide a safe and supportive learning environment for children.
* Support children in self-regulation, positive interactions with friends.
* Monitor and assess children?s progress and provide feedback to parents.
* Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development.
* Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive and enriching experience for children.
*Qualifications / Requirements*
* Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
* Registered with the college of ECEs ? in good standing.
* Vulnerable Sector Police Check (Obtained within 6 months).
* Standard First Aid with CPR Level C AED.
* Up-to-date immunizations.
* As a condition of employment, prior to your start date, you will be required to provide that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
* Participation in the Continuous Professional Learning model set out by the College of Early Childhood Education and taking 3 professional learning workshops/seminars/etc. annually.
* Intermittent physical activity including standing/walking/bending/lifting (Ex. Lift up to 50lbs, Carry Equipment) and supporting children.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with parents, staff and community members.
* A positive and empathetic attitude towards staff, children, and families.
* An understanding of the issues that affect children and their families.
* Ability to problem solve with children, parents, and management.
* Willingness to work flexible hours and as a team.
* A good working knowledge of computers.
NOTE: This is a full-time position. *Please do not apply if you are a student. *New graduates may apply. As well, a Cost Plus program is part of the benefits. All interviews are in-person.
*Interview Process (2-Step)*
* Candidates are invited to an in-person interview at the centre.
* After the initial interview, successful candidates will be invited to float around the centre.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.86 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 ? 40 per week
Flexible language requirement:
* French not required
Schedule:
* 8 hour shift
* Monday to Friday
* Weekends as needed
