Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Apartment/condominium complex. Residential. Residential renovation. Tasks: Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings. Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs. Advertise vacancy. Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment. Perform minor repairs on appliances. Show apartments and offices to prospective tenants. Supervise other workers. Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies. Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair. Work with minimal supervision. Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas. Prepare floors for installations. Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets. Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces. Detect and repair mechanical and electrical problems. Area of work experience: Framing and shingling. Surface preparation experience: Drywall taping/patching. Area of specialization: Kitchen cabinets and vanities. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?.
