Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems. Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications. Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs . Perform scheduled maintenance service. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification. Motor Vehicle Inspector Certificate. Automotive Service Technician Red Seal Certificate. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Attention to detail. Standing for extended periods. Own tools/equipment: Tools. Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Accurate. Client focus. Dependability. Excellent oral communication.
