*Job Summary:*
As the Head Chef of Golden Sparrow, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our menu, defining our kitchen culture, and leading our culinary team. You will be responsible for curating and executing a globally inspired small plates menu that pairs perfectly with our innovative cocktail program. Your passion for presentation, creativity in dish development, and ability to lead a team will be critical to ensuring our guests have a memorable dining experience.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Lead and manage the kitchen team, ensuring high-quality food preparation, presentation, and service.
* Develop and curate a creative menu focused on small plates, using locally sourced and seasonal ingredients.
* Collaborate with the bar team to ensure food and drink pairings elevate the guest experience.
* Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and innovative kitchen environment.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and organization in the kitchen.
* Oversee food costs, inventory management, and ensure profitability.
* Stay updated with culinary trends and incorporate them into the menu where appropriate.
* Ensure consistency in all dishes and maintain high standards of presentation and flavor.
*What we are looking for:*
* Proven experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, or similar role in a high-quality, fast-paced restaurant.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, manage, and develop kitchen staff.
* Exceptional presentation skills, with a focus on creating visually stunning and flavorful dishes.
* Creativity and passion for culinary arts, with a keen interest in global flavors and modern techniques.
* Excellent knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation standards.
* Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
* Positive attitude and a collaborative spirit.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
* Passion for culinary arts with a commitment to continuous learning and innovation in menu development.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
