Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Electromechanical and instrumentation and maintenance technologies/technicians, other. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Maintenance. Relocation costs covered by employer. Repair. Testing. Service. Willing to relocate. Manufacture. Fabrication. Assembly. Tasks: Use machining tools to fabricate or recondition parts. Replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators and other components. Weld or braze components. Wind, assemble and install various types of coils. Interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics and blueprints. Check final assembly for adherence to quality control standards. Assemble winding into core and make electrical connections. Assemble and fit metal and prefabricated parts to close tolerances according to blueprints. Read blueprints and drawings. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Electrical Mechanic Trade Certification. Motor Winder Trade Certification. Type of product: Subassemblies. Industrial electric motors.
