Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Dusty. Work setting: Various locations. Rural area. Tasks: Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions. Professionalism in customer service. Drive lighter, special purpose trucks. Load and unload goods. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform preventive maintenance. Transport and handle dangerous goods. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : AZ class license. DZ class license. Air Brake (Z) Endorsement. Type of trucking and equipment: Dry bulk. Flatbed. Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles). Tractor-trailer. Transportation/travel experience: Local. Regional. Short-haul. Transportation/travel information: Drive manual transmission vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Handling heavy loads. Overtime required.
