Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: At heights. Cold/refrigerated. Dusty. Hot. Noisy. Odours. Outdoors. Wet/damp. Work setting: Municipal government. Rural area. Various locations. Tasks: Clean and maintain sidewalks, streets, roads and public grounds. Spread sand or salt on sidewalks for snow or ice control. Dig ditches and trenches. Collect and load refuse on garbage trucks. Assist equipment operators to secure attachments to equipment or truck. Assist in routine maintenance and repair of equipment. Assist skilled tradespersons. Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment. Sweep debris and remove snow from streets, sidewalks, building grounds and other areas, and load snow and debris into carts or trucks. Equipment and machinery experience: Power mowers. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Drive manual transmission vehicle. Own transportation. Valid driver's licence. Willing to travel. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Own tools/equipment: Cellular phone. Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Client focus. Dependability. Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Flexibility. Judgement.
