*Role Overview*
We are seeking a Business Development Manager who can help us connect clients to our revolutionary products and services that solve common, but challenging payment frustrations in business.
By Manager, we are not looking for you to manage a team of sales personnel ? you are the sales team! You will be reporting and directly working alongside our Chief Growth Officer. If you thrive in situations that are not easy but require independent initiative, creativity, hard work, dedication and professionalism, this may be the position for you.

* You enjoy networking and building relationships built on trust. You serve as a reliable, streamlined channel for communication between the client's needs and our team.
*Responsibilities*
* Strategic networking to create strong leads, forging sales pipeline development
* Build strong relationship with existing & prospective clients to create strategic business opportunities
* Prospecting leads
* Answer inbound and outbound calls
* Develop sales strategies to current and potential clients
* Educate clients and prospective buyers about a company?s products or services to increase sales
* Deliver Sales pitches and presentations to current and potential clients.
* Be accountable for the demonstration of products
* Monitor market competition by gathering data
* Structure and submit proposals
* Manage legal contacting process
* Sales reporting; both analyzing and synthesizing data
* Target setting and management to achieve goals by deadlines
* Conduct market research and competitive analysis
*Skills*
* Market awareness and understanding of the financial-tech industry is an asset
* Excellent written and oral English skills, with an ability to present information clearly using a variety of communication channels, including phone and video conferencing (Teams).
* Strong internal and external communicator: Must be comfortable speaking to potential clients, delivering sales pitch presentations and answering questions; while also being accountable for communicating results to the Executive team
* Strong Competitor awareness & knowledge
* Ability to manage sales process from start to end
* Ability to negotiate effective, mutually beneficial contracts and service agreements
* CRM system use & compliance
* Accountable for performance and client retention results
* Self-directed
* Self-starter
* Strong motivation to succeed even in the face of setbacks
* Able to work independently but also take strategic direction from Executive team
* Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
*Experience*
* Relevant Sales or Business Development experience in banking and finance industry with proven track records
* Experience in the fintech and payments industry is a big asset
* Experience working in a start-up environment is a definite asset
Location: a combination of in-office and remote (2 days a week in the office)
