We are currently looking to fill the role of Parts Counter Sales for our Corner Brook Kenworth location. This challenging role requires experience supporting Kenworth/TRP customers and offering them the world's best service.

Reporting to the Parts Manager, this individual would have the opportunity to grow into a pivotal role in shaping the future of the dealership.
*Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities*
* Receive and sort incoming parts and supplies
* Telephone sales support
* Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in a warehouse, tool room, supply room or other areas
* Process incoming requisitions and issue or distribute parts and supplies for internal usage
* Maintain records of orders and the amount, kind and location of parts and supplies on hand using a manual or computerized inventory system
* Prepare requisition orders to replenish parts and supplies
* Sell spare and replacement parts for motor vehicles, machinery and equipment in a retail setting
* Post receipts, stock adjustments, and request for credits and PR?s into the computer
* Advise retail customers or internal users on appropriateness of parts, supplies or materials requested.
* Fill customer and Mechanic orders from stock. Prepare sales slips or sales contracts.
* Keep track of backorders and follow up with vendors and customers
* Endeavour to increase parts sales and customer satisfaction through suggestive selling, use of coupon discounts and monthly flyer specials
* Ensure that product and service quality exceeds expectations. Aids in the merchandising of parts
* Must participate in all training programs made available through Kenworth, TRP or outside vendors
* Assist parts manager as needed
* Occasional moderate lifting of up to 100lbs is required
*Education and Experience Requirements*
* 1-3 years of parts department experience is an asset
* A post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree is an asset
*Knowledge, Skills and Abilities*
* Good written and oral communication skills
* Strong personal organizational skills as they relate to workload, time management and setting priorities
* Effective problem solving and negotiating skills
* Effective conflict resolution skills
* Ability to promote service sales and expand customer base.
* Solid understanding of all truck industry
