*About us*
Since 2016, Vizard has been a premier Vancouver-based immigration firm. We specialize in temporary visas, permanent residency, refugee claims, startup visas, express entry, and appeals.
*Responsibilities:*
* Assist with the preparation and filing of various immigration applications, including work permits, permanent residency, citizenship and Court Process
* Conduct legal research and stay up-to-date with changes in immigration laws and regulations.
* Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and documents.
* Maintain organized and accurate client files, both electronically and physically.
* Draft correspondence, legal documents, and supporting materials.
* Liaise with government agencies, clients, and other stakeholders as required.
* Monitor case progress and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding matters.
* Prepare and organize documents for court or tribunal proceedings, including briefs, pleadings, and evidence packages.
* Assist in the preparation of motions, appeals, and other legal documents for submission to immigration courts or administrative bodies.
* Coordinate with external counsel and other professionals as needed for cases involving litigation or appeals.
* Attend court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings to provide support to attorneys (if applicable).
* Provide administrative support to the legal team as needed, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
*Requirements: *
*Education and Certification:*
* A diploma or certificate in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field is preferred.
* RCIC (Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant) or IRB (Immigration and Refugee Board) license is preferred.
* Paralegal certification or equivalent legal experience is preferred.
*Experience:*
* A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Immigration Paralegal or in a similar legal role.
* Experience in preparing and filing various immigration applications and documentation.
*Skills and Abilities:*
* Strong knowledge of Canadian immigration laws, policies, and procedures.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
* Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Other:*
* Fluency in Farsi languages is an asset.
* Strong ethical standards and professionalism in handling confidential information.

Pay: $40,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
